Registered healthcare professionals. Doctors are normally in specialty training and expected to have completed MRCP/MRCS or equivalent. Later-stage doctors can apply if they justify timing. Consultants can apply.

Salary + home PhD fees + up to £25,000/year for consumables, equipment & travel.

Certain exceptional costs can sit outside this limit. Consultant salary capped at MRC Level 1 threshold.
