Doctors and other clinically qualified professionals with a research PhD (or completing it), professional registration and previous wet- or dry-lab research experience. All specialties.

Designed for early postdoctoral clinicians. Project must be undertaken with a Crick group leader. Fully funded route is effectively pre-consultant: salary is commensurate with training/experience but below NHS consultant level. Clinicians bringing their own salary funding can apply to be hosted year-round.

1 year FT or 2 years PT. Salary + research costs covered; no individual research-cost cap published.

Annual. Next fully funded window: 1 Mar–30 Apr 2027. Own-funded route open year-round.
