IPC Training Day - IPC in non-acute settings

Join the Healthcare Infection Society for the next IPC Training Day, 11 September 2025. The programme provides education for trainees and other healthcare professionals working in the field of medical microbiology, medical virology, infectious diseases, and other areas of infection control.

After attending this session covering 'IPC in non-acute settings' delegates will be able to:

  • Discuss IPC outpatient settings e.g. GUM Clinics and Primary Care
  • Describe the challenges of managing an outbreak in a community setting
  • Explain the challenges of surveillance and implementing interventions across health and social care
  • Describe the delivery of IPC in non-healthcare community settings e.g. prisons, places of detention and body modification studios.
