BTS MDR-TB Clinical Advice Service Webinar - Live Simulated MDT Case Discussions

This free webinar offers practical learning through simulated multidisciplinary team (MDT) case discussions focused on multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and other complex TB cases.
The BTS MDR-TB Clinical Advice Service provides clinicians managing complex TB cases with access to expert consensus advice from specialists in respiratory medicine, infectious diseases, paediatric infectious diseases, TB nursing, microbiology and public health.
This year's webinar features new content and learning opportunities exploring the identification, treatment and management of MDR-TB and other complex TB cases. This webinar follows the format of the Service's monthly virtual MDT meetings, and two simulated cases presented and discussed by a panel of expert advisors.
Learning objectives:
Participants will gain insights into:
- The epidemiology of MDR-TB in the UK
- The role of the national MDR-TB Clinical Forum and MDT for prividing clinical expertise to the management of MDR-TB in the UK
- The therapeutic landscape for MDR-TB and differences with standard therapeutic regimens used for drug-sensitive TB
- Clinical challenges associated with the management of MDR-TB through case-based discussion
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the webinar.
