Regional Educational Workshops 2018

The Ongoing Challenges of MRSA

Welcome to the 2018 Educational Workshop series jointly hosted by the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC), Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) and British Infection Association (BIA). The topic this year is The ongoing challenges of MRSA.

Through plenary lectures, case presentations and workshop discussion, delegates will hear about the latest developments and have the opportunity to share and discuss common and rare issues faced in every day practice.

The workshops are open to microbiologists, infectious diseases physicians, pharmacists, nurses, scientists and other healthcare professionals working in the areas of infection prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

BIRMINGHAM - Monday 5 November, Centre for Professional Development, Birmingham University

SALISBURY - Tuesday 6 November, Salisbury Racecourse

DUBLIN - Wednesday 7 November, The Gibson Hotel

NORTH WEST - Thursday 8 November, Radisson Blu Hotel, Liverpool

LONDON - Monday 19 November, Wellcome Collection Conference Centre

LEEDS - Tuesday 20 November, Radisson Blu Hotel

EDINBURGH - Friday 23 November, Royal College of Physicians

LONDON - Tuesday 11 December, Wellcome Collection Conference Centre

Early booking is recommended as places are strictly limited at each venue.

 

Registration information

The Organising Societies are providing a grant to fund attendance for members of the BSAC, HIS and BIA working in the NHS at these workshops. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

For non BSAC, HIS and BIA members working within the NHS the registration fee is £60.00 (Incl VAT) per person.

For BSAC, HIS and BIA members who wish to attend from industry, the registration fee is £90.00 (Incl VAT) per person.

For non BSAC, HIS and BIA members who wish to attend from industry, the registration fee is £150.00 (Incl VAT) per person

 
To reserve your place, please complete the registration form and return to Esme Carruthers at ecarruthers@bsac.org.uk

If the workshop of your choice is oversubscribed, your name will be added to the waiting list and you will be notified if a place becomes available.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Delegates who receive a funded place, but who fail to attend or cancel their place in writing at least 10 working days in advance of their chosen workshop, will be charged the full registration fee.
