Sepsis: improving recognition and management
Sepsis is a significant cause of death and disability in the UK. According to the UK Sepsis Trust, the lives of 112,500 patients could be saved, or their outcomes improved, with earlier recognition and treatment of this disease.
Current evidence-based guidelines emphasise the need for good initial assessment and immediate treatment, but in busy hospital departments
integrating this into practice is not always easy.
Sepsis: improving recognition and management 2017 is a one day CPD certified conference that will examine the barriers to identifying those at risk and provide practical advice on immediate management.
