This programme is relevant to an inter-disciplinary audience with an interest in TB control and global health, including clinicians of all grades and background, public health practitioners, specialist nurses, other allied health professionals, scientists and policymaker.
Remit: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a leading infectious cause of illness and death worldwide. Global progress in TB control since the 1990s has been jeopardised in the last two years by the additional pressures presented by the Covid-19 pandemic. It is essential that healthcare communities worldwide regain focus and rebuild momentum in our collective efforts to tackle TB. The symposium programme features prominent speakers on a diverse range of topics including medical history, epidemiology, laboratory and data science, and clinical medicine from the perspective of doctors, nurses, and patients.
