HIS Spring meeting 2019 - Worries with the (hospital) water works
The annual HIS Spring meetings are focused on topical issues relating to infection prevention and control. The meetings offer opportunity for poster and oral presentations and are open to anyone with an interest in any aspect of healthcare-associated infection.
In 2019 the meeting will be on 'Worries with the (hospital) water works: Problems, practices and pragmatic solutions', Tuesday 14 May 2019 at the Royal College of Physicians, London. This meeting has been approved by the Royal College of Pathologists for 5 CPD credits.
The programme covers all aspects of healthcare infection control relating to water and includes presentations on sinks and pseudomonas, risks from sink drains and solutions, Legionella – pitfalls to temperature monitoring and the keynote lecture When all else fails - the ‘Waterless ITU’ will be given by Dr Joost Hopman, Radboud University, Nijmegen.
